Oprah’s “unconventional, unforgettable dads” episode was indeed a tear jerker. Unlike the usual Oprah audience, there were a bunch of dads in the crowd today (the also-rans who weren’t unconventional, unforgettable enough to get their own segment during the show?) and Oprah made a funny comment about them not knowing that you are allowed to openly cry on her show. They were all doing the stifled-cry-slump-into-chair-avoid-eye-contact thing. I sort of liked Oprah for a minute there. But why was she wearing Kelly Rowland’s weave from 2002? Oprah, you of all people should know that one of the many burdens of fame and fortune is that when people know you are a billionaire, they expect you to spend some cash on looking good. And put some cucumbers on those eyes girl, you look tired.
