Bacon Bacon Bacon

I can’t even count how many times over the weekend that I busted out Shane’s and my fave catch phrase, “Bacon makes everything better”. Our newest F.I.B. (Friends in Bacon) own bacon tunics, a bacon wallet, and even told me about a special bacon alarm clock that does not ring, it just cooks a piece of bacon to wake you up. (I am a little worried about leaving the raw bacon in the alarm clock chamber overnight, but no doubt the makers of the bacon clock have thought of this and include some sort of anti-trichinosis spray that comes with the alarm clock).

Shane puts bacon in deviled eggs, chicken salad, and crab fritters, just for starters.

Viva la Bacon!

This reminds me of “The Office” when Michael Scott burnt his foot on his George Foreman grill because he liked to wake up to the sound of crackling bacon. Haha. Too bad they don’t eat very much bacon in Poland!

Hi Carrie!! How is Poland? I am SO SORRY we did not call to say bye and good luck before you left! The days got away from me. How was the flight? (or should I not ask?) How was the baptism? So glad that you have internet access and I know you are too!

So far we’re having a great time in Poland and I will be sad to leave (because that means I have to go back to work!). The baptism was good and the reception afterwards was a lot of fun. We drank a lot of vodka and said “Na Zdrowie!” a lot. We’ve gone out with Jacek and Agnieszka a few times and Jacek made us take shots of vodka every time we ate. The flight was ok because it was overnight and Eryk slept for most of it. Unfortunately the flight back (we come back to the US on July 2nd) will be during the day so I”m not really looking forward it that much. We have a layover in Switzerland so at least he’ll be able to run around the airport and get all his energy out for a few hours.

Damn those people at Wendy’s who forgot Shane’s bacon! We were driving past there Friday night and Jorge asked if I’d like him to stop in to pick up the ketchup and bacon they “forgot” to give us last Friday. Shane, hope you’ve gotten your fill of bacon since then.

We did have some late night bacon on Friday night. I was mixing it with everything else I was shoving into my fat face, including salsa, crab dip, crap soup. That was rilly rilly wrong that Wendy’s shafted us on both ketchup AND bacon. what kind of fast food experience is that?
