…to Old Virginnie!! (sp?)
Another whirlwind weekend on the road!! We had not been to VA in a while.
Thursday night we stayed in Charlottesville and hung out with Kimmers, C, K & M at our old stomping grounds on the Corner. Look at the awesome present Kimmers got for me!
30 Ciders + 4 Lambic + 1 Champagne = Happy Birthday to Me!! Loved the shane & bitch playing cards and dueling Napoleon Dynamite cards too. Thanks Kimmers!!
We actually squeezed in a lot of action during our 15.5 hours in Cville, including a trip to the Biltmore, late night snacks at Littlejohn’s and The White Spot, drinks at Michael’s Bistro and lunch at Martha’s Cafe.

I had a Five Easy Pieces at Littlejohn’s. A favorite late night snack of The Bitch for over 16 years! Turkey, bacon, muenster, mustard, 1000 island on pumpernickel. Hell yeah.

We had the epiphany that the entire Corner smells like a dirty keg bucket and that we don’t like that. I hated to say bye to Kimmers so fast, but on the 4th we had to truck it to West Point.
I heart West Point. We got to spend quality time with Hank, Mumma, W, Carrie, thole, J Classic and their families. We also got to meet the newest member of the family, little Baby D. He is SO CUTE and is like a tiny little piece of orange yarn.
Shane was a trooper and got us through the heinous traffic on I-64 and I-85 today, and we landed at home like an hour ago. We are not going anywhere for 25 days. Good.
It was great to see everyone in VA!! I hope the rest of the BDJ audience had an equally stellar weekend!

ooohhh, this weekend was so much fun. so many good friends and buzzes! most of them mine. i was reminded by bobby A of all of the “murs-isms” that came out on saturday (read: sole brain cell was overwhelmed with all of the eating/talking/breathing, so was distracted and said some stupid things. like, when i commented on saturday morning that i was reading yesterday’s paper…and it was saturday’s paper). i was happy to discover the johnny’s caliber juke box at the biltmore. that made it a lot cooler…and made for some interesting dancing around the upstairs bar…
i was confused by the days too.
wow!! was there a jukebox there back in our day? i noticed there was karoake as we walked down University Avenue. sigh.
I luv me some Morris cats
Arguably, the worst cat we ever had was Cubby, a little orange fella, so I am always dubious about orange kitties but Baby D is definitely good peeps. His only bad habit is biting, and I think he will outgrow that.
one of the four cats i house/cat-sat (is that the right phrase??) bit me on the cheek while i was recovering on sunday morning.
I’m sure the jukebox at the fratmore was installed to have the drunkards at the bar sing to an actual song (vs the one in their own minds). and no, there was not one when we were there, at least not that i remember. and let’s face it, that removes any credibility i might have for making that statement.
there is a lot of stuff i don’t remember when i am back in cville. selective memory.
