Wow Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson dead on the same day. Goodbye childhood. I have mixed emotions about Michael. The 10 year old in me is devastated. I LOVED Thriller so much. And I loved Michael Jackson before he turned into a big freak. Loved LOVED his collaborations with Paul McCartney. When the Jacksons did the Victory tour, I filled out like 300 entry forms to win tickets from Burger King.
Now I am RILLY pissed that I did not bid on the tabletop Ms. Pacman that was in the Michael Jackson auction a couple of months ago. DAMMIT.

In our elevator at work, we have that awesome screen that tells you the news and every once in a while gives you a topic of conversation. No surprise, yesterday’s was “what is your most defining Michael Jackson moment?” Mine was when we went on a family vacation…I was about 9…we stopped at a mall for dinner. My Dad gave us each money to buy food and then we were to meet up and eat together. I found a store and spent my dinner money on a Michael Jackson poster. Didn’t eat that night but that poster brought years of joy. That and my Mom’s silver ski glove that I wore around the house during my MJ phase.
When the Thriller video came out I spent 4 consecutive weeks trying to stay up and catch it on ‘Friday Night Videos’ (because MTV was still a novelty) When I finally saw it, I had nightmares for the next two weeks.
‘Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough’ yet I still can’t figure out the lyrics.
